Ripping a picture of a famous individual in half was in both 30 Rock and SNL. Obviously this means that in one case, it was a powerful and important political statement expressing how systemic injustice had caused an anger so deep that it forced a person into blasphemy and in the other Sinead O’Connor ripped some old dude’s picture up.
Alec Baldwin’s Trump jokes were on both 30 Rock and SNL. In 30 Rock S6E7, Liz walks into the hear Jack Donaghy on the phone and hears him say “Really, Trump? My idea is stupid? Well you make your hair every morning by sticking your head in a cotton candy machine.”
Zooey Deschanel was in both New Girl and Brooklyn 99. She was driving Schmidt’s mom’s Subaru Outback (the Outback alone should have clued Schmidt in on his mother’s sexuality, never mind her frequently informing him) in New York and had to let Detective Peralta drive the car and its very hot seat warmers.
Joshua Jackson was in both Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Dawson’s Creek. Obviously this means that after he almost drowned in the creek in the final episode of Dawson’s Creek, which happened to be the exact day that Kimmy was abducted, he was in a coma for 15 years and when he heard on TV that the mole women had been saved, he was so excited that he snapped back to consciousness. His life was truly complete when he met one of the mole women in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt S2 E8, so when his shift was over, he walked into the night, never to be seen again.
Danny Pudi was in both Community and Cougar Town. Obviously this means that Abed’s story from S2 E19 about being Chad in Cougar Town and pooping his pants was 100% true and he really was in the background of a scene.
